I have a weakness for late-night shopping on marketplace sl…well, anytime of the day I guess you could say. Late at night I seem to be more generous to myself. My latest “binge” was at the (NO) marketplace store. I saw this dress, The Folds Dress, and fell in love with it. It’s very fun and whimsical..and it seems very classic to me..as if it will always be in style, at any point in time.

(NO) (nylon outfitters)  creator, Nylon Pinkney is so very talented. There is an array of unique products in her stores, not only clothes. Getting the link for this post just now, I couldn’t resist adding a couple more items to my cart. ~sighs~ I swear, I have zero self control.

If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been venturing out of my safe, little photo orb more lately. Lately as in, since I’m able to view shadows. Lol, I just imagined a follower reading this and shaking their head saying, “she’s not going to talk about them damn shadows again, is she??” No, I am not..well I guess I kind of just did, but I was leading up to something else. Location.
We all know that there are literally thousands of awesome places in sl to take pics, some well known, and some waiting to be discovered. I’m betting that most of us also know that exploring the grid, looking for different photo locales is an experience within itself. Anything is possible in this world! If you have the time, that is.
That’s something else that I’ve bitched about mentioned quite often. How I wish I had more time. So lately I’ve been collecting LM’s and doing some googling on places to take photographs in second life, or.. beautiful, unique places in second life..whatever key words i can think of at the time.

The showcase section, located in the destination guide (found in the search section of your viewer, or here) has a lot of neat places to take pictures. I’ve also got a special landmark folder that I call “cool places”…yes, I know, such a snazzy, original name. When I’m out shopping, or on a hunt, or whatever, and I see a place that I like, I landmark it and drag it into said folder.

I wanted to share a very helpful post I found in Through Salamander’s eyes,  by Moniq Salamander. I am keeping this page bookmarked for sure. There are all sorts of different tips and lists. There is a list of links called Locations and there are some really good ones, and some great sources to find more!

Poppy Returns from Outer Space

or as we sometimes call it, real life.

I couldn’t believe when I looked at my blog a week or so ago and realized that I’ve been away nearly 1 year! My how time flies..and I’ve missed blogging but it seemed every time I logged into sl my graphics were going from bad to worse. I tried to take some pics and it wouldn’t even let me go to the ultra setting..i was heartbroken.

I tried to upgrade my Mac. It was a 10.5.8 and to be able to upgrade, i needed to first upgrade to a disc that apple no longer sells. I found some independent sellers on amazon with 50/50 reviews..a few of the bad reviews stating that they had lost total use of their computer when trying the 59 dollar upgrade and of course, this made me very apprehensive.

Like I have my entire life when I have a problem I called my Dad and asked if he could help me investigate and find a way to do it. The next day my amazing Dad brings me over a new iMac. I was so overwhelmed, I couldn’t believe it. He said it was my birthday gift and he knows because of my special situation at home that my computing time is my biggest “outlet”…

So now…finally…I have shadows! I was so excited I cried, lol. I know that’s so corny but…whateva.

I was going through my inventory and I have nearly a years worth of things that generous designers have sent me to blog for them..plus since it’s turned into a mesh world while I’ve been away you can imagine the shopping that needs to be done! But I’m really going to make an effort not to let my blog make me feel overwhelmed and deadliney…I want it to be enjoyable for me and for you! Nevertheless, I do have some catching up to do..going to model some of the review copies and new things and freebies while I play with the lighting and see what I can do..be patient with me..while I’ve been gone I’ve renewbed…it really happens!

One more thing I’d like to add..well there are many things I’d like to add but I’m trying not to make this any lengthier than it already is..If you’ve contacted me and  I haven’t responded please forgive me..i literally fell off the face of sl for a while so I’m sure many messages and other things were overlooked and/or lost. I’ll be checking daily now so if you’d like to get in touch with me please drop me a notecard in world or leave me a message here.

I’m in a pickle with my flickr..I can’t remember my screen name, password, the email acct. I used to open it..on my old computer it just stayed logged on all the time..not now of course so I cannot get into my flickr Not sure if I should make a new one or keep on with the pain in the ass process of trying to make some sort of “breakthrough” with it.

I had mentioned before that it has been since the middle of last year since Rhapsody Wilde has had a new release. Have I mentioned lately that I’m loving, loving, loving MONs skins? I feel so hot every time I wear it! I’m loving this look so much…it was very hard not to wear the Indyra Original Coquette Noir Boots with this look (these). They looked so hot with the Lelutka Corset that I’ve been dying to blog for a while now…But once I put these old school slinky red stilettos from Maitreya on, I couldn’t seem to take them off.

You’ll probably be seeing more of these pants too, I got them in several colors…I have fallen in love with all things Mimikri…deeply..deeply..in love
