ZENITH @ FAIR

I’ve noticed that long, oversized sweaters seem to really be trending this fall. Hence, one of Zenith’s items in the FAIR event,  the Off Shoulder Long Sweater.

I was really pleased with how well these sweaters move with my, or rather Poppy’s movements. This is the type of item that would be nearly impossible to wear in the long ago, prim era ..well except for taking pics or standing still.

It brings to mind a big prim sweater I bought a couple of years ago from one of sl’s top designers..it’s so beautiful but i was never able to wear it anywhere except for my pose stand. Once I stood and walked around it did all sorts of crazy things lol.

Of course there are endless ways you could wear this sweater..I think my favorite way though, would be all by itself, with Zenith’s second item at FAIR..Zenith’s Cute Socks.

You don’t have to decide which ones to buy because it’s only one pair of socks. They come with the hud pictured below. You can change the color of the socks, the ribbons, and the fuzzy balls. (heehee…i said fuzzy balls)

In typical Poppy-fashion, I’m posting this entry on the very last day of the sale. But I thought..maybe some people don’t know it’s the last day so this will be a good reminder for them. That sounds good, huh?

I’ve been trying to work on this post for a few days now. I wanted to do a shoot of me in several of my coldLogic outfits, but unfortunately this is going to end up being a quickie post because I’d hate for anyone to miss out on theses awesome deals. coldLogic has some of the best mesh clothing I’ve tried since my return, and according to my fashion groups many people share that opinion.

In the above photo is my very first coldLogic outfit. I could live in this little romper irl..and in sl too! They have a huge variety of clothing; cute, comfy, classy, sexy night on the town, casual. Yesterday they added 11 new pieces to their collection and these are included in the sale! (mainstore only) …and did I mention this is the LAST DAY OF THE SALE????

I also wanted to mention that coldLogic is promoting  a new and upcoming mesh menswear brand – FATEwear – by one of their creators, Damien Fate. You can find a free mesh outfit for your men at the Subscribo sign near the front of the coldLogic mainstore entrance.

FATEwear will be opening sometime next month on the newly opened region FATEisland which is connected to the north side of Zyrra. Feel free to poke around this picturesque mesh build in anticipation for the grand opening.

Now that I’m blogging again, I can feel my “skin fever” kicking in and I’ve been demo’ing skins all over the place. Only a matter of waiting for the linden fairy now. In the meantime I’ve been going through my “favorite skins” folder. Anything Rhapzody Wilde of Mynerva has ever made is in this folder. Plain Jane was my very first Mynerva skin. I wore more tanned skins back then..but I’m still in love with this skin..to me it looks very unique-fresh and young.

I’m not super excited about any of the photos I’ve taken yet with my new shadows and all. And they’re coming out with very light pencil like graph lines on them..i try to erase them in photoshop and when I shrink the pics down to blog/flickr size a lot of times you can’t see them…but sometimes you can. I need to do some more googling  and stalking blogs. And like I’ve said before, any sl photography or photoshop tips are appreciated!

I’ve had my eye on the Connors Pareo sets since they first started showing up in the feeds, and I was finally able to get one. The tank and panties come with the sarong-the one I chose is called Hibiscus..but they could pass for poppies..maybe? :p
Have you been to Connor’s lately? Not too very long ago I went in and was really blown away by how far they had come since I first went there (a year or more ago). Don’t get me wrong, it was nice back then but everything just looked extra high quality this time

While you’re there rez a bike and ride around their roomy store (bicycle rezzer by the front entrance). Don’t forget to join the group and pick up the group gifts in the front. They also have a lucky board on each side of the store (men’s and womens sides)..the men’s gift is unisex.

It seems as if all the women in SL are running around barefoot all of a sudden..maybe it’s because Maitreya has released *the perfect prim feet! Jennie2 New from Laqroki

The little Laqroki elves have been very busy for the past few months, and I was very surprised to log on yesterday to find another new release…
Meet Jennie2 new from Laqroki.  Jennie comes with 5 different skins (skins differ in lipstick tones..see picture above) in a pack for 990L$. They have the additional eye packs that you can get for different eyeshadow looks. I’m disappointed that they don’t put the optional hairbase skins in their packs anymore…all add on’s you buy separately (hairbase, diff cleavage types, eyeshadows etc..)

You see, not only do I not have shadows but I also only have one tattoo layer :/ and since I prefer the tattoo lashes and liners, that uses my one layer. Poor, poor, Poppy. ~sniffles~

Love love love the new Chained Thread tops from Kyoot, they are smoking hot. 5 colors to choose from; each color includes the top with and without the choker part and you also receive the choker alone without the shirt. You can double layer if you don’t want your nips showing but I was feeling a little saucy today

for the longest time i’ve had a favorite “go to” pair of short shorts in sl…I think the new Feel Free shorts by Boom may have taken their place…and please no comments about my bony ass…Poppy has been drinking chocolate milkshakes every day working on filling out These shorts look amazing with a full juicy booty…just sayin….they really do!

speaking of the pic below of course Why can’t more men in sl  put more effort, more personal touches, into their avi? Don’t they know the effect it has on us girls? Chances are, if you’re a male reading my blog, you do put effort into your avi..but you know the ones I’m talking about…and they get so offended when you try to help them out too.

For the longest time I thought…wow I must be really superficial if I care so much about what an avi looks like. But..I think that it 1) shows you that he is into the game as much as you are..not just some noob “logging on to get off”. 2) It also gives you a lot of insight into the person behind the avi…tells you if you’re tastes are similar…3) it shows you that they have a sense of creativity…an imagination. 4) tells you that they know that their avis are their personal works of art, basically representing who they are, or who they want the world to see them as…even if they are some sort of sci-fi creature…that still shows that you have an imagination and enjoy playing the game.

I could go on about this subject forever..oh! look! I have already..lol…and there are so many more reasons that, in my humble opinion, it is important to put work into your avi…make him or her your work of art, your representation of yourself or whatever you want to be…..those 4 reasons were just the first things that came to my mind…I’m sure there are many more numbers you could add…feel free to add them if you like
