Loulou…NEW from {Essences}

It seems as if it doesn’t take long to re-newb. Well, not for myself anyway. Maybe I just have a blogger’s “need to know NOW” mentality and when I’m away I feel as if I’ve missed out on the greatest deal ever in the history of second life. For example, say you’re away, oh, I don’t know…a few weeks for the holidays and while you’re away the most awesome product ever was released in sl..oh wait a minute. That happened. It seems while I was away the Maitreya Mesh Body was released with all of it’s perks and collaborations with the some of the biggest creators in sl. That will be my next post, but here’s the scoop on it in the meantime, just in case you’ve been under a different rock than myself. I have A LOT to organize and catch up on so as usual, if you’ve sent review copies please be patient. I think I’m just going to go down my inventory and take pictures of things as I organize it. Maybe picking up new releases here and there along the way..you know a girl’s gotta stay “in the know”.

I’m wearing my new Romy skin by Glam Affair in this post. If you visit this blog often, get used to seeing me in it for a while, I’m kind of in love with it. 🙂  Romy comes as a plain base skin and you choose all of the colors and features you’d like to personalize your own look with.

I haven’t experimented with Glam Affair’s The Mesh Project yet, which I know is very customizable. I may delve into it soon but right now I’m very happy with this look. FREE Essences Gift!

A good friend of mine mentioned Essences some time back and I had been wanting to go and check it out, but just hadn’t gotten around to it yet. Then last month’s kustom9 had a Gacha machine from Essences and I fell in love with the picture of the “rare”..Alex was the name of the skin. On my first try I saw that I had gotten an Alex rare..and that’s all I recall seeing so I was so excited and felt so lucky. By the time I got around to putting it on I saw that it was the ginger, and Poppy is a brunette. She may not be one day, but for now I like her as a brunette. The ginger is quite beautiful though, and I am wearing it in world now, hoping to blog it. I’m still on my search for Alex brunette though..

Which was what led me to Essences where I picked up a demo of every one of their skins, I do believe, and found their beautiful free gift, Jamie, which I am wearing in this post. I have on the teeth tattoo that comes with the gift but it’s optional..

So, after several posts of wearing my Slink physique mesh body I took it off to try on the new Essences gift skin and all of my demos. It is a beautiful body and for taking pictures it makes such a difference if you want a more life-like look..but I have to say taking it off was the equivalent of walking in the house and taking off your bra after a long day at the office. I guess because it’s still so new to me and I just can’t seem to quiet that little voice inside me reminding me of all of the thousands of things in my inventory that I can’t wear with it. I guess at this point I’ll wear it sometimes, but maybe not all the time. Maybe it will be a different story when they come out with mesh bodies with little boobies…they aren’t so bad, but the shadows are still there. Jus’ sayin’.. :p

I had to get a closer shot of GizzA’s bad-ass new jewelry, the Chained Treasure Set. You can get this now at La Metallique Fair! The Slink Physique

THE SLINK PHYSIQUE

I finally bit the bullet and got the Slink Physique. I’ve been doing some research, and I said that I never would get a mesh body, but I must say, it is quite beautiful. The pictures in this post were taken right when I got it and was getting familiar with it. You can use your sliders just like you can with your ordinary skin. I didn’t get the Visage, which I assume is a mesh head. I don’t think the sliders work for the head, please correct me if I’m wrong on that.

I know most of you have seen this video already, but if you haven’t and are curious about the Slink Physique, Gogo’s video and post on the subject is very helpful. Included in your Slink Physique purchase is a lingerie applier. You wear this like a hud, and you are given the choice of 3 sets of bras and panties to wear; white, red, or black.

If all of this sounds foreign to you I promise, all you have to do is follow the directions on the notecards and it’s simple as pie. It’s true, at this time there are some minuses about the mesh body, the biggest one, in my opinion, being that there are certain outfits that won’t work with it, because the system clothing layer cannot be seen. I have a strong feeling that, in the very near future, clothing appliers are going to be sold along with outfits and separately for layering options and such, if not already.

Also included in you Slink Physique purchase is this amazing One Shoulder Dress, that fits your new bod like a glove. It is stunning.

Besides the shadows, these photos are totally unedited. The longer I blog the more imperfections I see and it’s awesome not having to worry about liquifying all of the weird points jutting out of various places on my body. This body could actually save me some time! ❤

August Gifts

TokiD‘s August gift is out! The new Mari shirt. Turquoise and polkadot and adorable the gift includes  6 sizes of tops to choose from. I would normally wear the xs but I wore the small because I didn’t want the prim from the shorts to poke through. I was really impressed by the fit of this top. Being a small chested avi I’ve had to make my boobies bigger for a few mesh tops but I didn’t have to change my shape at all for this shirt..and I couldn’t look down my shirt and see invisible boobs..just a nice, perfect fit.

A peek from behind. The silky back strap is a nice surprise when you turn around and always gets a couple of oohs and ahs. I also love the pretty ribbon in the back of the [e]likatira hair, Changes, that I’m wearing in this post.

The skin in the pics above is Filthy skin’s August group gift. (also some really cool lipgloss makeup tats..be sure and grab those too while you’re there!)  There is a group fee but I thought this was a really cute skin so I didn’t mind paying it. Plus I have been dying to try on some new skins. I’ve acquired a few demos that I’ve been looking forward to trying on..

The 80’s Heels are another find from HOC Industries @ The Vintage Fair. Above, is the picture of the HUD that you wear to change the shoes and socks colors. I’m excited about these shoes..I keep thinking of outfits that they would look so adorable with..and the combinations are endless!

Jennie2 New from Laqroki

The little Laqroki elves have been very busy for the past few months, and I was very surprised to log on yesterday to find another new release…
Meet Jennie2 new from Laqroki.  Jennie comes with 5 different skins (skins differ in lipstick tones..see picture above) in a pack for 990L$. They have the additional eye packs that you can get for different eyeshadow looks. I’m disappointed that they don’t put the optional hairbase skins in their packs anymore…all add on’s you buy separately (hairbase, diff cleavage types, eyeshadows etc..)

You see, not only do I not have shadows but I also only have one tattoo layer and since I prefer the tattoo lashes and liners, that uses my one layer. Poor, poor, Poppy. ~sniffles~

Love love love the new Chained Thread tops from Kyoot, they are smoking hot. 5 colors to choose from; each color includes the top with and without the choker part and you also receive the choker alone without the shirt. You can double layer if you don’t want your nips showing but I was feeling a little saucy today 😉

Olivia!

I’m so excited about Laqroki‘s new Olivia! I mentioned to a friend in my previous post’s comments, “…i was worried at first because i was having puter issues when i was demo’ing it…i think i was seeing olivia mixed with ruth lol…not pretty!”

But when all the kinks were ironed out, and I saw her, it was pretty much love at first sight 🙂

So it seems while I was “away” Laqroki released a new skin..I finally was able to go try it on and unfortunately I loved it.

I’ve heard a few people comment that all of Laqroki’s skins look alike, but I think they each have their own look and personality…yes some favor, but you’ll get that with any skin line.

Linnea comes with 10 different makeups, including a natural, clean faced one that will be good for makeup tats.(also good for people like myself who prefer the natural look). The makeups are so beautiful and svelte though.. They remind me of Chanel and Lancome colors.. Each makeup/skin comes in a blonde brow and a dark brow version as well.

Hopefully everyone’s had a chance to check out LaViere by now…and if not omg…I’m sure you’ve heard of it’s awesomeness. Before my break I went nuts in there one day lol. This dress was my favorite purchase of the day I think..well no, never mind that would be too hard to say….it’s all so gorgeous. This little dress reminds me of a flower, and it wears really well. I’ve had it on for a couple of days now and I’ve been exploring and shopping..on the move…I honestly don’t think I’ve had to adjust it once! 🙂
