I went ahead and stuck this picture in last minute because it so depicts the way that I’m feeling right now. Maybe someone else would see it another way, but I just imagine sitting there overwhelmed with so much work to do, wanting to be anywhere else but there, and just “sighhhhhhh”. No idea why I see it that way. 😉

I dug deep into my sl closet and came across my Kookie Armada boots. I did want to wear something newer, something I’ve purchased since my return, but I loved the way they went with the look, the skirt in particular. It’s young and fun and comfy…and if sl were real these are definitely the type of shoes I would be wearing with as much running around the grid as I’ve been doing.

NEW Braid Bracelets from Izzie’s in a variety of colors to choose from, and The Basic Purse, NEW, by Imeka, purchased at kustom9.

I didn’t plan it, but all of these little gold hearts started showing up in my accessories. I relented at the end and searched for heart earrings to finish this simplistic look off..The ones worn are an old gift from Caroline’s Jewelry. To be honest I haven’t investigated Caroline’s Jewelry since I came back…but it’s on my list!

Introducing The Fall Babydoll Dress- The Secret Store & Nyu‘s very first piece of collaboration work. Created with a beautiful floral damask texture and an oversized, peter pan-type lace collar. Available in 10 rich, fall colors at either location.

I wanted some white lace tights so I went to G Field, and what great timing I had. Everything black and orange is half off until 10/31. I picked up a few pairs of shoes, the pair in this post being one, and a beautiful new hat that I probably should have worn in this shoot…I just couldn’t cover up the pretty little bow in Truth‘s new’ish hair, Marina. (bow is color-change, touch for menu)

If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been venturing out of my safe, little photo orb more lately. Lately as in, since I’m able to view shadows. Lol, I just imagined a follower reading this and shaking their head saying, “she’s not going to talk about them damn shadows again, is she??” No, I am not..well I guess I kind of just did, but I was leading up to something else. Location.
We all know that there are literally thousands of awesome places in sl to take pics, some well known, and some waiting to be discovered. I’m betting that most of us also know that exploring the grid, looking for different photo locales is an experience within itself. Anything is possible in this world! If you have the time, that is.
That’s something else that I’ve bitched about mentioned quite often. How I wish I had more time. So lately I’ve been collecting LM’s and doing some googling on places to take photographs in second life, or.. beautiful, unique places in second life..whatever key words i can think of at the time.

The showcase section, located in the destination guide (found in the search section of your viewer, or here) has a lot of neat places to take pictures. I’ve also got a special landmark folder that I call “cool places”…yes, I know, such a snazzy, original name. When I’m out shopping, or on a hunt, or whatever, and I see a place that I like, I landmark it and drag it into said folder.

I wanted to share a very helpful post I found in Through Salamander’s eyes,  by Moniq Salamander. I am keeping this page bookmarked for sure. There are all sorts of different tips and lists. There is a list of links called Locations and there are some really good ones, and some great sources to find more!

still chasing shadows

Have I ever mentioned how much I wish I had the time to blog more? I think I’ve mentioned it a time or two…hundred. Now I have a new obstacle..to take the pretty shadowy location pics, I have to be plugged directly into my modem..I just can’t seem to get a strong enough connection via my router. I can still do the white background without a problem. I’d say out of about twenty or so pics taken outside of the beautiful Milk Motion main store, only 2 turned out somewhat decent..meaning with no weird lines or flaws.(see photo below)

That wouldn’t be a huge problem for a lot of people, but in my house there are these 2 really short people who love to play on the computers and they go cuckoo when they can’t get on youtube or disney.com. I find it best to just keep the peace.

The scarf in this picture is one of the many amazing group gifts at [whatever]. There is a 300 L$ fee to join, but it’s more than worth all of the group gifts you receive. I tp’d over late last night and all of the gifts are still available. You can view a few in this recent post, but there are more not even pictured.

a walk through Mayfair

If you haven’t already taken a walk through Mayfair, you should put it on your to-do list. This beautiful all-mesh sim is  home to mon tissue and celoe. I think it’s perfect for taking pics, especially if you play with the windlight settings and shadows…you can get all sorts of different looks and shadow effects…which means..less time in photoshop…which means to me…less time computer-hopping.
